Frequently asked questions




Do I need to book and pay in advance?  It is advisable to book your tour in advance as tours fill up quickly. Pay either through your travel agent, or cash payments (US dollars or AR pesos only) are accepted on the day of the tour.

 

Do you work on commission? NO. NEVER.

What happens if a tour is full? 
If your stay in Buenos Aires permits we will book you on the next available tour.

Can children come on the tour? 
Of course! Children rates apply.

Do I receive discounts? 
Yes. Boutique Tours receive special discounts at selected shops.

Gratuities 
Boutique Tours do not include gratuities for either the guides or the restaurants in the price of our tours. A standard gratuity in Buenos Aires is 10-15%.

How long is the tour? Is there much walking? 
The tour will last for approximately 4 hours. The pace is very relaxed but we do recommend you wear comfortable shoes.

How many shops will we visit and how long will we stay in each shop? 
We have arranged the circuit to ensure you spend more time in the boutiques than walking. You will become familiar with over 10 local stores on our route. Time spent in each boutique depends on the group and their style taste.

Will I have time to shop or is this just a browsing tour? 
You will definitely have time to shop! This is the whole point of the tour. However if you want more time in a particular shop we recommend you return with your VIP card to continue shopping in your own time .

How will I know the equivalent of my size back home with the ones here in Argentina? 
We have information for international sizes available on our tours.

How many are on the tour? 
Our maximum group size is 6 shoppers.

Can I book an entire Fashion Tour for my group? 
Yes! This is a perfect tour for groups – whether you are here travelling in a group, attending a conference or on a cruise stopover, this is the perfect half day in Buenos Aires!

Can I book the tour for a pre wedding group or as a corporate event? 
Yes! We cater for special events. If you are getting married our shopping tours are a glamorous and fun way to have girls only time! Extra surprises will be in store for you! Our tours are also a fantastic reward for female employees on any staff incentive program.

Are the tours in English or Spanish? 
All Boutique Tours are conducted in either English or Spanish by bi-lingual guides.

What happens in bad weather? 
We still shop! Umbrellas are provided.

Do the stores offer hotel service if I don't wish to carry all my purchases for the entire tour? 
Yes. Delivery of your purchases to your hotel can be arranged.

 

Is there transportation available? Yes, we can organise pick up and return to your hotel. This is at an additional price to the tour price. Contact us for more information.

 

Can I book you for a single person? Yes.

Should I bring my camera?
  Yes! Buenos Aires is a beautiful city and we strongly recommend you to bring your camera.

 

What happens if I loose my camera (for example) or something of mine is stolen while I am on a Boutique Tour? Each person comes on their tour at their own risk. We advise clients to have current travel insurance that will cover them for these types of incidents  during their stay in Argentina. We encourage our clients to act in a safe and responsible manner while on the tour. We provide safety tips for travelling well in Buenos Aires. In the unlikely event you are robbed on the tour, Boutique Tours will assist you however we can to ensure the matter is reported and dealt with appropriately.  We can not accept responsibility for property that is lost or stolen while on the tour. If you require transport, our transport partners have comprehensive insurance for all trips.
